Frequently Asked Questions

  • We hope that working with us will help break down and create an understanding to your problems and difficulties, and to work towards finding new responses and coping skills to work towards your goals in a caring and supportive environment.

  • We understand that talking about your difficulties can be hard and we would like you to tell us when this gets too much. At times it can be important and useful to work through the distress with us, but we know that it is important to feel comfortable and ready to explore this.

  • As of now, our current therapists are Abbie and El and they will be meeting frequently to discuss referrals. Abbie and El will take into account your preferred therapy time and day in order to ensure you are placed with an appropriate therapist.

  • When starting therapy, it is normal to feel an increase in your difficulties and/or distress. We normalise this experience as it is something frequently noticed when talking and processing difficulties.

If you continue to feel like CBT is something that is not supporting your goals, we would suggest discussing this with your therapist and they will support you in exploring other support techniques and other reflections/support.
