Our current services and treatments for 1:1 cbt
Depression
We explore the root causes of depression and work together to develop an understanding of maintenance factors for depression whilst exploring strategies that promote balance thinking and emotional resilience.
Anxiety (General, social & panic)
Working together, we explore your thought patterns and develop practical coping methods to allow you to better understand and manage your stress and anxiety. CBT works by identifying negative thinking styles that contribute to excessive worry and teaching practical strategies to challenge and reframe these thoughts.
ocd
CBT helps clients to manage their OCD by building strategies to manage their compulsions, leading to better overall function and quality of life. Through structured therapy, individuals develop healthier coping mechanisms, regain control over their thoughts and behaviours, and improve their overall quality of life
PTSD
During CBT session, we will explore a range of techniques to process traumatic memories, reduce anxiety/worry, and develop healthier coping strategies and to focus on creating a base for better functioning and emotional well-being
Bipolar
We focus on addressing negative thoughts patterns and developing coping strategies. CBT assists in managing the mood swings of bipolar disorder and improving emotional regulation and stability.
Psychosis/unusual experiences
We explore the patterns of suspicious and paranoid thinking, working to balance perspectives and develop trust-building strategies for improved distress management and mental clarity. CBT encourages individuals to evaluate the reality of their fears and consider alternative, less threatening interpretations.
additional Services:
anger
We work to understand the underlying triggers of anger, challenge unhelpful thought patterns, and develop healthy coping strategies to manage emotions more effectively.
health anxiety
CBT can be used as a way to address health anxiety, challenging excessive and undue worries about having a serious illness. Through CBT, people learn to identify cognitive distortions—such as catastrophising mild symptoms—and replace them with more balanced and realistic thinking.
self-esteem
We explore your thoughts and beliefs about yourself, how these influence our responses to situations and experiences. CBT looks at supporting you in creating new links, thoughts and beliefs to increase motivation and change of responses.
